Sillynut.com presents this unique and fun class for adults and teens with intellectual disabilities and autism.  Here are some of the programs we have had the privilege of partnering with teaching art and computer literacy classes to a special group of friends.

Supported Adult Living Team, Upper Darby, PA

The program provides a variety of flexible services to individuals with serious mental illness in their own rent-subsidized apartments. Services are based upon the individual's needs and include case management, crisis intervention, counseling, medication monitoring, skill building, and any service needed to assist the individual in maintaining his/her independent living. By offering permanent, affordable housing options, along with more flexible and focused support services, individuals with mental illness have a real opportunity for community living.

United Peers Program, Philadelphia, PA

United Peers is a recovery center for people with MH/Co-Occurring disorders who want to enrich their lives through wellness workshops and educational groups and sessions. United Peers assists persons in recovery as they work to live as independently as possible through the provision of training and assistance with the skills of community living and by serving as an integrating source for a person’s recovery. United Peers was created by people in recovery and it is staffed by Certified Peer Specialists who demonstrate/model recovery through education and their own lived experiences.

New Avenue Foundation, Media, PA

The mission of New Avenue Foundation is to create meaningful lives for people with developmental disabilities and autism through advocacy and innovative services.

Social Steps Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program, Chester, PA

Psychiatric Rehabilitation services assist persons with functional disabilities resulting from mental illness to develop, enhance and retain psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment and independent living competencies so that they can experience more success and satisfaction in their community.

Community Interactions, Broomall, PA

Provides quality services for people with intellectual, physical or behavioral health challenges, helping to create lifestyles consistent with their communities.

Creative Gifts (Delaware County), Glen Mills, PA

Creative Gifts (Peacefulliving.org) is a unique, community-based mentoring program which is based on an individual’s interests and talents.  The program combines skill-building and volunteer and recreational opportunities to create inclusive environments that exemplify Peaceful Living’s core values of Belonging: Companionship; Membership in a community; Holistic living; and Appreciation of the individual’s talents/gifts. 

Delaware County Advocacy and Resource Organization, Swarthmore, PA

The mission of The Arc of Delaware County is to advocate for inclusive community practices and influence public policy for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
