New Avenue Foundation is a parent-led, grassroots, nonprofit organization comprised of families who are interested in creating more community inclusion opportunities and new housing alternatives for people with developmental disabilities and autism.
We have partnered with a local organization to provide an art class for people on the spectrum. Sillynut’s goal is accommodate young adults who wish to explore art further or for the 1st time. This class will focus on clay – pinch, pull, squeeze, shape, and roll! Our goal is to provide a worthwhile activity.
Learn to think creatively, with an open mind
Learn to observe and describe, analyze and interpret
Learn to express feelings, with or without words
Learn to discover that there is more than one right answer
Learn to collaborate with other children and adults
Learn to blossom and excel in the arts
Learn to build confidence
Even with physical, emotional or learning challenges
Experience success in the arts
The class will be held on Saturday,
May 10th and May 17th from 2:00 to 4:00.
The cost is $25 per session and includes everything -
all supplies, refreshments and smocks to wear.
